Description:  Ulysses encounters King Sisyphus who, as punishment for seeking the secret of immortality, has been condemned by the gods to fill a crater with 'boulders' made out of scrap metal for all eternity. But Zeus has made Sisyphus a deal. The Odyssey encounters a curious desert world and detects life, so, Ulysses sets out in one of the shuttle-craft to investigate. Down on the world below labors Sisyphus, once the King of Corinth. Sisyphus angered the gods by seeking the secret of immortality, and as punishment he has been sentenced to clear balls of scrap metal into a pit under the blazing heat of seven suns. Zeus makes Sisyphus an offer, if he can find someone to take his place then he can leave and return home. So when Ulysses lands Sisyphus knocks him out and steals his shuttle. Once on board the Odyssey, Telemachus manages to persuade Sisyphus to go back for his father - but they cannot find him. They then discover the truth about Sisyphus' punishment.
