Description:  Bruno Bozzettos's Mr. Rossi is a little man with a bulbous nose and two bulging eyes that tend to wander to one side of his nose or the other. Somehow or other, Mr. Rossi has fallen into a routine that is repeated over and over: wake up, have breakfast (while looking next door at the huge house belonging to his boss), get ready for work, have a run-in with Gaston the dog, go through the dreary motions of packing fish at a factory all day, go home, eat a fish for dinner. Finally fed up with the boredom and predictability, he cries out in frustration. Hearing his plea for help, a Good Fairy appears astride a wooden horse and bestows upon him a strange whistle. Rossi soon discovers that this whistle allows him to travel through both time and space. Freed from his rut, Rossi and Gaston travel to the Stone Age, ancient Rome and Egypt, the Middle Ages, the Wild West and an odd little fairyland.
