Description:  Picard, LaForge, Data and Troi return from a sadly boring scientific conference to the Enterprise. They experience weird instances where either one or several of them are perceived to seem frozen in time by the other(s), although both biometrics and technical shuttle diagnostics check out perfectly normal. It soon turns out there is a whole spray of tiny local occurrences of time-space-continuum distortions, most worrying in a pattern pointing at the Enterprise, which they find frozen as well as a Romulan war-bird, which seems to be frozen during an invasion, but once they find a way to get aboard without being sucked-in that appears fake. The source of the distortions is an organism, from another continuum. Wikipedia: Pockets of temporal distortions allow the crew to prevent a disaster.
