Release Message:  Popeye (Jack Mercer) is undergoing a series of government tests, one of which involves using spinach to travel in a rocket at the speed of light.

Description:  Popeye is undergoing a series of government tests, one of which involves using spinach to travel in a rocket at the speed of light. Popeye volunteers to undergo an eight-day series of tests for the government while living in a space capsule. His endurance is tested when he discovers that in his absence, Brutus plans to wine and dine Olive for eight days! Finding out that Brutus is going to try to take Olive away from him while he's gone, Popeye is imprisoned in the test rocket and unable to stop Brutus. Popeye's increasingly heated anger causes his canned spinach to explode. He uses tons of spinach to take off, sending the rocket zooming into space faster than the speed of light. This causes Popeye to move eight days forward in space time in a matter of one hour Earth time. When he returns with the tests completed, Brutus finds that he has spent only minutes with Olive. Popeye returns before he left so that he can get Olive back. (time dilation)
