Description:  Johnson writes a paper on genetics which he hopes will allow men to overcome their emotions and improve the species against the threat of the machine age. Dr. Lars appears in a time machine to tell Johnson his work creates a utopia and invites him to the far future to witness it. Johnson agrees and in the future Maida is assigned as his guide. Johnson falls in love with her but she has no emotions; realizing he has stripped mankind of their humanity, Johnson returns to his time and destroys his papers. Cover art by Bill Everett.
