Description:  Six months have elapsed and Gary has not been back to Duckett's passage but is persuaded by Ron to return and invest money so that, fifty years later, the interest will be huge. Telling Phoebe he has been in America working on a musical, he learns that her father was killed in an air-raid and her husband taken prisoner of war. She is now the pub's landlady. He deposits the money in a bank straight out of 'Dad's Army' but when, in the present, he and Ron return, they find that the money was invested in a firm which went bust in 1957.
