Description:  The old and cheeky Ebenezer Scrooge (Carl Wery) is a misanthrope and miserly collar. His only friend was his associate, Jacob Marley, who died seven years earlier on Christmas Eve. Since then Ebenezer has run the business alone. Christmas is at the door again, an abomination to the ardent human enemy. He does not just point out his Neff en Fred, who invites him to celebrate Christmas, but also all who ask for alms. When Mr. Scrooge comes home on Christmas Eve, he does not look bad, because Jacob Marley, his deceased partner, is waiting for him. This is not the only guest, there are three other spirits. A night, which Ebenezer is never forgotten, lies before him. Perhaps his life can still change for the better ... Charles Dickens's famous narrative A Christmas Carol in Prose learned countless filmmaking. Pidax presents a wonderful adaptation from the year 1960, in which the popular actor Carl Wery impressively impresses the Geizhals Ebenezer Scrooge. Director Franz Josef Wild (Gaslicht) convinces the audience with the loving equipment of his work, the trickery technique and a long list of popular actors, including Elmar Wepper, Alwy Becker, Hans Baur, Klaus Havenstein and Walter Buschhoff. A filming which goes to the heart and which should be seen in the circle of the whole family. Just the right thing for Christmas Eve!
