Description:  The Odyssey finds a ship floating lifeless in space, it is from the Earth of 2001. On it they find the Captain in suspended animation and he sends Ulysses in search of a base on one of the deadly twin planets Scylla and Charybdis. The Odyssey picks up an S.O.S. transmission from an old Earth spaceship from the year 2001. Ulysses and the children investigate and find the Captain of the vessel in suspended animation. He wakes and tells Ulysses to go and rescue his crew who are in suspended animation on a base hidden between the twin worlds of Scylla and Charybdis. Ulysses goes off in a shuttle in search of the base while Telemachus and Yumi care for the revived astronaut. The children find a picture of the ships crew, but the Captain is not amongst them. Curious as to where the power for the suspended animation pod is coming from Telemachus finds a hidden chamber bearing the symbol of the gods - the trident. The Odyssey goes to the twin planets to rescue Ulysses but little do they know that the astronaut has hitched a lift on the outside of the Odyssey.
